Black Belt and Martial Arts Instructor Stops Alleged Dog Abuser

Dennis Davidson, a black belt in jujitsu, witnessed a man abusing his dog in Brevard County, Florida. The dog was being hit and kicked by his owner.

"We noticed a gentleman chasing a dog around, and the dog was cowering. And he was shouting obscenities at it, and every time he'd get close, he was swinging and/or kicking at it,” Davidson told Channel 4 News.

When Davidson decided to confront the dog's owner, John Snell, the man allegedly threatened Davidson's wife.

Dennis Davidson feels an obligation to utilize his strength to defend those that cannot stand up for themselves - such as this dog experiencing abuse.

John Snell, having no reason to know, was unaware of Davidson's black belt in jujitsu. Quickly, Davidson was able to have Snell in a choke hold. Snell was brought to the ground and held until police arrived at the scene.

Snell was arrested for complaints of battery and animal abuse. At this time, Davidson is hoping to adopt the dog.
