Ready to see some adorable pups and learn a bit about them?
Let’s take a look at the small breeds first…
#1 – Pomeranian
Pomeranians are curious little fluff-balls that are too cute to ignore. They are super tiny – in fact, even as adults they are under 7 pounds! Don’t let their cuteness deceive you, they are very smart dogs.
#2 -Pug
Pugs are fun from the minute they are born. Their preciously squishy and wrinkled faces are hard to look away from! Don’t be surprised when these cuties start snorting and snoring – their flat faces make them a little noisy!
#3 – Chihuahua
Chihuahuas are very tiny, but they have big personalities! You may have seen them on TV – from Taco Bell commercials to starring in Legally Blonde. These little ones love being pampered, and love their owners endlessly.
#4 – Dachshund
Dachshunds are as fun as they are cute. They are ready for anything – from digging to running and more. While they have little bodies, they have big appetites! Dachshunds don’t let their size limit them at all.
#5 – Papillon
Papillon means butterfly – a perfect way to describe the wing-like, fluttering ears on these dogs. The amount of energy packed into these little ones (weighing less than 10 pounds) will surprise you!
Now on to the medium breed dogs…
#6 – French Bulldog
These little wrinkly dogs are great for living a mostly lazy life – all they need is a 15-20 minute walk to keep their stunning physique. Frenchies love attention and provide lots of entertainment with their great personalities.
#7 – Corgi
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi has a very outgoing personality and loves to keep busy. Even though their weight stays below 30 pounds, Corgis were once herding dogs. These adorable, dwarfish dogs are very intelligent!
#8 – English Bulldog
The English Bulldog is super wrinkly and incredibly loving! They get along with everyone, making them a great match for families with children or other pets. These dogs can get a little hefty in size, weighing up to 60 pounds. That’s 60 pounds of love to give, of course.
And finally the large breed dogs!
#9 – Golden Retriever
Golden Retrievers are famous for their family-friendly nature. They are natural born lovers that are dedicated to their families. Golden Retrievers are also very active – toss a tennis ball and they are ready to play fetch!
#10 – Labrador Retriever
A Lab is loving, active, and family-friendly. Whatever you are doing, they are interested in taking part. – they just want to be a member of the family. These dogs can be black, yellow, or chocolate!
#11 – Saint Bernard
While cute little puppies, Saint Bernards can get up to nearly 200 pounds as adults! Big as they may get, they are sweet and well-tempered dogs. They make great companions because of their kind nature, but get ready – the Saint Bernard also drools quite a bit!
