Sneaky Cat Tries to Rob Toys From Front Porch

While package theft is a common issue in the US, many thieves do not get busted – except for this one.

This robber was caught on camera and looked a little different than you might expect.

When Kristin Beck drove up to her home in St. Petersburg, she witnessed a crime in process.

Beck was expecting a delivery of two banana-shaped catnip toys. She had ordered them online for her two cats.

The local black-and-white cat decided these banana toys were his now.

“Out of the corner of my eye I could see the package being ripped at by the cat,” Beck told The Dodo. “The culprit was on my front porch with one of the bananas already out of the package, and he was going to town on the Amazon bag. I was the victim of an attempted cat burglar.”

Beck recorded the incident on her phone.

Once the cat realized he had been caught, he wandered away – clearly feeling no guilt for his theft.

While the banana toys were unscathed, if Beck had been a little later, the toys would have been gone for good.

“My indoor kitty watched from the window in horror,” Beck said.

It is alleged that both cats witnessed the event – completely unable to stop the black-and-white cat from stealing their precious toys.

Despite the banana toys being temporarily touched by the thieving cat, Beck’s cats. Napa and Vino, seemed to enjoy their new toys quite a bit.

While the black-and-white cat tried to steal from Beck, she has no hard feelings. The cat has never called issue before.

“There are no hard feelings against the little cat burglar,” Beck said. “It’s the holidays and I’m glad he got to enjoy some treats, if only for a little while. Not to mention I have not laughed that hard in a really long time.”

Shelter Dog Questioned for Ruthless Attack of Beloved Toy

At the Fox Valley Humane Association in Wisconsin, Hank the shelter dog spends time with his favorite toy, Fuzzy Purple Hippo.

The story of Hank and his toy became viral when suddenly, Fuzzy Purple Hippo was struck by violence. Everyone wanted to know – who did it?

Staff at the shelter found Fuzzy Purple Hippo in critical condition – but thankfully she was found just in time to be saved.

“Dr. Laura is currently performing life-saving surgery to repair the near-decapitation,” the shelter wrote. “Details of the incident which caused the injury are murky, as Hank is refusing to answer our questions. (Yes, we have tried sternly asking, ‘What did you DO??’ But he only looks away with a guilty look on his face.) Please keep the Fuzzy Purple Hippo in your thoughts.”

After the surgery on Fuzzy Purple Hippo, she had lost a great deal of stuffing. To ensure no further damage, she was given a cone of shame.

“She is groggy from pain medication and her demeanor seems a bit flat, but we are hopeful for a full recovery,” reads an update from the shelter.

After investigating, it seemed Hank was guilty.

“Since yesterday’s casual questioning brought no results, Hank was brought in for a formal interrogation into the assault of his companion, the Fuzzy Purple Hippo,” the shelter wrote. “As of 11:00am Hank’s jowls remain firmly closed regarding the incident.”

Fuzzy Purple Hippo had even been interviewed.

“Hank met with his Humane Officer-appointed Attorney this morning to discuss the allegations of Hippossault,” the shelter wrote. “Although no formal charges have been filed, there are no other suspects at this time. His attorney has advised him to plead the 5th.”

As the pressure began to build and the heat was on Hank, protesters began showing their support.

Chief Thomas of Appleton Police Department was brought in to investigate. Blue, a police puppy in training, was also present to check the scene of the crime.

A tuft of Fuzzy Purple Hippo’s stuffing was found at the top corner of the kennel shared with Hank. This cracked open the case.

After much review and investigation, it was concluded that the stuffed animal had not been intentionally attacked. It seemed she had tried to escape the kennel to get treats for her and Hank! Fuzzy Purple Hippo got stuck on the corner of the door, causing Hank great horror at her condition.

“His heart wrenching howl could be heard throughout the shelter as she struggled to free herself but could not. Hank slid his bed to the door, made a mountain of his blankets, and climbed atop it all until he could stretch high enough to rescue his damsel in distress,” the shelter surmised. “Hank cared for his princess throughout the night until the staff arrived and Dr. Laura could perform the life-saving surgery that she needed.”

Hank was exonerated and was then seen as a hero.

Because of the attention this story brought to the shelter, Hank and his toy were able to find a forever home.

“Now that the case has been closed, Hank has been cleared, and the Fuzzy Purple Hippo has made a full recovery, they are free to go….and we are thrilled to announce that they have just been released into the custody of a new family!!! Yes, they’ve been adopted!!”

Dog Interrupts Live Broadcast and Is Totally OK With It LOL

In Russia, an unexpected guest showed up for a news broadcast.

A dog ended up in the Mir24 TV studio and made his way onto the set of the news cast without being seen! Suddenly, he appeared under the desk where the news caster was filming live. This new interruption is taking over the internet – and for a good reason.

The woman doing the news, Ilona Linarte, was pretty surprised by the dog – and for good reason! It’s crazy to think about how he made his way to the news desk without getting caught.

The dog is absolutely adorable, despite being where he doesn’t belong. “I’ve got a dog here,” she said in Russian. “What is this dog doing in the studio?”

While continuing to report, Ilona gave the dog a quick pat on the head. The station later followed up and explained that the dog was on set with a different show, and somehow ended up getting loose.

The video has over 4 million views – this dog really got his moment of fame!

This is What Happens When a Cat Gets a Bad Haircut

Jin Jin’s owner, Xie Qian Qian, has her cat shaved once the weather gets warm in order to keep Jin Jin cool. For past haircuts, Qian has chosen for Jin Jin to get a lion-style cut. This cut keeps facial and tail fur intact (like a lion!).

The usual style looks like this:

Jin Jin was scheduled for his next cut with the groomer, but Qian was very busy. Like anyone would, she decided to have a friend drop off Jin Jin with the groomer. No big deal, right?

Apparently, there was a slight mix-up on what kind of haircut Jin Jin was to get. The outcome made Jin Jin look like he was wearing a cat mask!

Qian came to pick up Jin Jin and was a bit surprised to say the least…

“I was surprised the groomer would shave him like that. I can’t be blamed for it,” Qian said to The Dodo. The look was so amusing, she couldn’t help but laugh.

Qian’s husband was not very happy with the new look once Jin Jin came home, but he too found himself laughing.

While the haircut was certainly not the best, Jin Jin did not seem to care at all.

“My cat is a very tame and good cat,” said Qian.

Luckily, Jin Jin’s hair has been growing back to normal. Time fixes hair tragedies!
